Meet Pastor Sandy

Pastor Cassandra Wainright, affectionately known as Pastor Sandy, is “just a nobody trying to tell everybody about SOMEBODY who can save anybody!”   She comes with no fancy frills or gimmicks.  Pastor Sandy is real and transparent.

Pastor Sandy

I was born and raised in Kansas City and have lived there all my life.  My life’s journey began well over 50 years ago and from all other accounts looked perfectly fine – from the outside looking in.  For years, (with the exception of my family) no one knew my story!  Having grown up in the church and giving my life to the Lord at age 12, I grew up knowing about the Lord…knowing of the Lord…but not fully recognizing what His real role would be in my life.   Just like many of you, I served within the church buildings.  I gave tirelessly of my time and God-given talents “but God” had yet a work to do in me.

My childhood struggles had unknowingly impacted everything else I would ever do in my life.  It impacted my decisions and my relationships.  My past dictated my emotions and the journey I would take throughout my life.

Because of what I have had to walk through and because God used my life to build so many of my “but God” moments, I have been blessed to become a:

  • Wife of a loving and supportive husband, partner and friend, Pastor Calvin C. Wainright

  • Mother & Grand Mom

  • Pastor & Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (now who would have ‘thunk’ it?)

  • Speaker to encourage others in their journey to get past their past!

  • Author

  • Woman of faith as I’ve seen God do some miraculous things in, through and for me!

Quite honestly, I often ask God did I really have to go through all of that to get to this place that I now stand in.  I liken my life to the lives of both Joseph and David in the Bible.  Like David, I have become a woman with a sincere heart for God.  Like Joseph, my life mirrors the Biblical passage  found in Genesis 50:20 “But as for you (satan), you thought evil against me; BUT GOD meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive!”
